The website now hosted at FulmoTalkSeries.Site ā formerly hosted at TalkSeries.orgā offers a collection of thought-provoking talks that bring together voices from around the world as well as a comprehensive set of resources covering ideas from the area of Psychology, in particular, Happiness Studies and Positive Psychology. We were fortunate to secure the TalkSeries.org domain name itself earlier during 2025, perhaps a little reward for sending plenty of Gxoja (joy) into the world⦠or maybe just good luck ā who knows?
What exactly does the Fulmo Talk Series offer? One, it offers, for Esperantists as well as non-Esperantists, a set of Talks created especially for college and university students. Each Talk is designed to share ideas that matter, spark meaningful conversations, and/or inspire action across cultures and disciplines. This page offers a few resources especially for Esperantists. It is meant to make this webpage accessible for Esperantists. If you donāt know Esperanto, simply skip over any content in Esperanto ā all such content is clearly marked with ESP. Second, it offers a comprehensive set of low-cost and even zero-cost resources for people interested in learning more about how they can improve their own happiness levels, including a fully prepared course syllabus. Third, it offers links to other websites and resources that people can share with members of their komunumo (trans. : “community”) to help their own komunumo as well. Fourthly, we have put together a curated list of web appsāincluding several developed in-houseādesigned to help users enhance their productivity and support their mental wellness.

2. Designing Joy ā Prof. Anand Manikutty
[+]
We were honored to also feature Prof. Anand Manikutty, an educator, researcher, inventor and technology industry professional, who introduces ideas from ancient Indian thought and links to ideas from modern research on happiness. This links to his work on a new way of looking at South Asian History. (In related work, he has even offered an entirely different way of looking at South Asian History.)
In this key talk, Anand Manikutty brings together ancient Tamil literature, happiness research, and computational thinking. Drawing from a new developed Philosophy La Joya Filozofio, he challenges colonial readings of Indian philosophy as well as history, and offers a bold, modern reinterpretation. This is a talk for anyone curious about the science of well-being, and the wisdom of the past. This Prelego (trans. : āTalkā) was prepared as an adjunct to a later Talk by Prof. Anand Manikutty sponsored by the IEEE Society and the ACM Society. The talk is subtitled Gxoja Filozofio, Ancient Tamil Wisdom, and Computational Thinking. In addition to introducing a new way of looking at South Asian History, he has also developed a new Philosophy, called La Joya Filozofio, which is meant to be a rival to ancient philosophies, such as Stoicism and Epicureanism, as well as modern philosophies, such as Existentialism.

[ The Latest from the Esperanto and ConLang Society of South India ]
As part of our association with the Esperanto and ConLang Society of South India, we would like to feature a humorous talk by Prof. Anand Manikutty: Wendy Doniger vs. Anand Manikutty: The 10-Year Debate Saga (Spoiler: I Win). With a humorous title referencing the many years of their polite debate marked by their different debating styles, it offers a compelling critique of certain academic approaches to Hindu mythology, challenging dominant narratives shaped by scholars like Wendy Doniger.
Prof. Anand Manikuttyās āEnmiksiÄo critique“, a brand new critique of mainstream American scholarship of Hinduism, highlights how certain interpretationsāespecially those using Freudian psychology to analyze sacred symbolsācan unintentionally interfere with Hindu spiritual practices and well-being, and has the distinction of being the first critique that argues based on science and, therefore, an objective lens, and not merely from subjective, religious perspectives. Although you will find one of Wendy Doniger’s latest books prominently displayed in Indian bookstores, this Talk makes the case that such prominent positioning is not really deserved. The lives of humble, everyday people in India and around the world would be improved if the views expressed in Prof. Doniger’s book are challenged.
This talk ā while not technically part of the Fulmo Talk Series ā is currently in preparation. Weāve included it here because it has a distinctly humorous flavour. Delivering a genuinely funny talk is harder than it seems ā it requires far more preparation and finesse. We also recommend Mr. Manikutty’s August 2025 talk for the IEEE Society and ACM Society, Chennai Chapter, for its humor. In an earlier talk to these groups, he challenged Mr. Narayana Murthyās call for employees to work 70-hour weeks āto make India progress.ā In this new talk, he ventures into another billionaireās domain ā that of Sundar Pichai ā arguing that YouTube and similar social-media platforms are optimised not for your happiness, but for something quite different. In a future talk, he plans to take on yet another billionaireās bailiwick. Such challenging of billionaires in this fashion is essential for the good of Indian society and for the good of the world at large. You see, billionaires are different from you and me. Because they have more money. In fact, more money than they really need.

š Frequently Asked Questions about the Pacosperanto Project
[+]
Q1. What is the Pacosperanto Project?
Ans. The Pacosperanto Project aims to create a set of resources on peace, conflict resolution and non-violent communication within organizations. Additionally, we aim to create a small community of pacofarantoj, that is, people advocating for peace, particularly in Africa.
[+]
Q2. Are you creating a new ConLang?
Ans. The conlang has already been developed ā it’s called Pacosperanto.
We also developed another conlang, Mensaperanto, hand-in-hand with the Fulmo Talk Series, the Fulmo Games Hub, and other Fulmo Technologies projects.
The goal behind these conlangs is to build communities. We’ve already built one around mental wellness and productivity with Mensaperanto, and we’re now doing the same for Pacosperanto. We see no reason a community like this can’t take shape here too.
What we ask of participants who want to contribute is that they record a seven-to-ten-minute talk on the subject of peace. We were able to attract such people as Sudhanshu Mani, Sanjiv Chopra, Sonja Lyubomirsky and others to the Fulmo Talk Series community as part of our Fulmo Talk Series effort previously.
What attracts people to the Fulmo Talk Series is that you are allowed to even promote your books, startups, et cetera. For some people, there is significant value add. For others, there isn’t a whole lot of value add. That is why the decision has to be taken by each individual based on whether it makes sense for them to spend the two or three hours of time it takes to record a talk.
Note that many participants simply participate as observantoj (that is, “observers”) and we have many, many people who are basically spektantoj (that is, viewers).
[+]
Q3. What do partoprenantoj, or participants, in the Pacosperanto Project have to do?
Ans. All that is required of participants is to record a 7-to-10-minute Prelego (talk). We also offer coaching and advice to help you optimize your preparation time, and delivering the talk itself takes no more than 10 minutes. It will take no more than three hours of your time, in total.
